History

The company Enar Timber AB started already in 1943. Back then named as Enar Lindstrom AB. It started as a sawmill and planing mill.
In the middle of the 1950:th the company became a wood trading company.
The main business is trading of sawn and planed timber mainly on export, but Enar Timber AB is also leasing out machinery for sawmills and joinery mills.

Ownership structure

Nicklas Jacobsson is the owner and also the general manager of the company.
The company is situated in Skellefteå, county of Vasterbotten in the north of Sweden.

Geographic market

Of all the wood we sell, we export about 75% to customers in Europe and North Africa.
The main export countries are now England, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Ireland, Italy and Germany.

The world is becoming more interlinked and it applies not least to the timber business. Today, the Swedish wood products sold in most markets in the world. We are constantly looking for business opportunities and new markets to ensure that the suppliers and customers eill get the best offers.

North Africa

The recent positive development and construction in the North African countries has been visible on Swedish exports. Developments in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) has been a salvation for the local industry and in Europe, where in many cases has registered a decline in construction. The population of the North African region is young and economies are growing rapidly. This has been positive for our exports and because Enar Lindstrom AB has been active for many years in these countries, we have been able to significantly increase our volume. This is particularly true in Morocco where we have done business since 2001. Although we see ourselves as specialists in Morocco, we have also a significant export to and valuable contacts in the other countries in the region such as Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Sudan and Qatar. Our customers in these countries are mainly importers and pallet and packaging manufacturers.

Europe

Britain is today Sweden's largest export destination. Norway is also a major market for Swedish wood as well as Germany and Denmark. Our European customers are importers, patio and furniture manufacturers.

Customer segments

Our customers are preferably joinery mills, construction companies and timber importers, but also manufacturers of windows and doors. The timber is marketed and adapted to different custormers and markets demands. Well knownshipping marks quarantee quality, reliability and service.

Environment

All sawn and processed woodgoods that Enar Timber AB delivers, meets the swedish forest- and environmental laws as well as the PEFC rules for controversial sources and the FSC rules for forestry. They lead to the protection of key biotopes and a ban on illegal logging.

Wood is the most natural of materiels and has great built in qualities for the environment. For instance, the use of wooden products for building houses and interiour allows for carbon dioxide to be contained for a long time. Each generation of trees that are taken care of this way regains carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and counters the greenhouse effect.
